Online and In-Person Whole-Person Counseling and LifeArt Coaching
Through more than 30 years of working with adults, Martha has developed a whole-person approach to counseling and LifeArt coaching that helps people transform emotional, psychological, and existential pain into renewed energy for living a more expansive, meaningful, and fulfilling life.
While counseling and coaching share common ground, they serve different purposes. Counseling invites a deeper exploration of your inner world, including your personal experiences, emotional patterns, relationships, and family history. Coaching offers practical support as you clarify what you want, make meaningful choices, and create changes in your daily life.
Marthaās approach integrates both. It recognizes that human beings are multidimensional, with emotional, relational, creative, physical, and spiritual dimensions that are deeply interconnected. This work helps you develop greater awareness of how your inner world functions, what you truly need in order to feel whole, grounded, and confident in your place in the world, and how to meet those needs in ways that support lasting wellbeing.
The deeper spiritual dimension is understood not as something separate from everyday life, but as the foundation from which meaning, purpose, love, creativity, and authentic selfhood can emerge. By working with the whole person, Martha helps clients move beyond simply surviving toward genuinely thriving, with greater clarity, resilience, and enjoyment of life.
The LifeArt Journey
The LifeArt Journey can begin in many places: personal pain, relationship struggles, family patterns, creative blocks, work-life questions, or a longing for deeper meaning and connection.
Understanding how early life experiences, conditioning, and trauma may still be affecting you today is a foundational part of meaningful inner work. The beliefs and emotional patterns we develop early in life often become the invisible framework through which we experience ourselves, our relationships, and what feels possible.
Coaching techniques, affirmations, and routines can be helpful, but lasting change often requires looking beneath the surface.
Symptoms such as depression, anxiety, anger, procrastination, addiction patterns, or recurring relationship struggles are not signs of personal failure. They are often meaningful signals pointing toward unmet needs, unresolved pain, or parts of ourselves that need care and healing.
This whole-person approach helps you explore your personal history, family system, cultural influences, strengths, needs, and deeper longings with compassion and curiosity. The goal is not to discover what is āwrongā with you or to strive for perfection, but to understand what is calling for attention, heal old wounds, and learn new ways of caring for yourself and relating to others.
